I am retired, living in Mount Vernon. I follow the daily news with jaw dropping attention. I am warned and outraged by so much that is happening and I used to voice those warnings and rage. In January I became wary of governent surveillance although it is heartening to see that the Thought Crime Bill hasn't passed yet.

Money madness I think. I hate to see everything crumble around us but is inevitable with no changes in sight.
They made more profit than ever on gas yet look how greedy they are the price is strangling everyone.
The kids are coming for a visit Sunday through Thursday so will be off Gather till Friday. Haven't even seen the little one yet.

Hi Olga, I just read Why They Let America Down. You can't believe the foreclosers here and prices in Idaho that are five times as high as when we first moved here. I'm sorry to hear you haven't been able to move. I'm actually afraid to move even though I would love to live out.
I wish I was like others who have hope for change but I can't bring myself to believe in it. Our house is 50 years old and coverage went from $14.00 a month to $63.00 this month. Where do you turn and how many jobs will it take to get by.
